Downstream restocking enthusiasm slowed, spot premiums/discounts pulled back [SMM North China Spot Copper]

In North China today, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract were at a discount of 180-120 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 150 yuan/mt, down by 20 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The transaction price ranged from 79,660 to 80,050 yuan/mt, with an average of 79,855 yuan/mt, up by 55 yuan/mt from the previous trading day.

Today, spot prices of #1 copper cathode in North China against the front-month contract were at a discount of 180-120 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 150 yuan/mt, down 20 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 79,660 to 80,050 yuan/mt, with an average of 79,855 yuan/mt, up 55 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Following the sharp decline in copper prices and concentrated restocking in the market, downstream purchasing enthusiasm has slowed down today, with spot premiums/discounts pulling back and trading activity remaining moderate.
